Collaborative Consulting Publishes Data Quality White Paper
April 25, 2005
Obtaining complete, accurate information, in the proper format, and using it strategically
WOBURN, Mass. – Collaborative Consulting, a company that specializes in optimizing its clients’ business and technology assets, has published a white paper highlighting the strategic importance of gathering, storing and maintaining high-quality data.
In “What a Data Quality Initiative Can and Cannot Do for Your Organization,” the latest in Collaborative’s white paper series, John Williams, a vice president and the leader of the company’s service offerings, outlines the increasing importance of excellent data quality.
Within the paper, Williams, with help from colleagues Christopher Jennings, Daniel Sandler and Michael Yauckoes, bolsters his arguments with real-world examples of data quality—and the lack thereof. The examples illustrate clearly how companies must ensure that their data enables them to thrive within a fast-changing environment. In addition, Williams shows how high-quality data enables companies to measure and track their progress in a variety of disciplines with accuracy and speed, achieving dramatic results along the way.
Publication of the paper coincides with Collaborative’s sponsorship (and Williams’ and Jennings’ attendance) of an important Center for Business Intelligence conference. Discussion topics at the CBI’s Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence for Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing Conference, which takes place today and tomorrow in Philadelphia, align closely with the paper’s subject matter, and Collaborative’s leading Data Services offering.
